We are a family business founded by two sisters, who have had a passion for the linen fashion industry for a few years. What is Linen?

The word "linen" is derived from the Latin Linum usitatissimum, the botanical name that Linnaeus gave to flax. The plant has striking blue flowers and gives a fine textile fiber from which the best linen is made.

Merely growing flax requires a great deal of attention; when added to the various processes needed to preparte it for spinging, and the complications in weaving due to the yarn's lack of elasticity, it quickly becomes clear why linen faces and insurmountable economic handicap compared to cotton, which is simpler and cheaper to produce.

Linen has therefore become the exclusive domain of the wealthy or of certain connoisseurs and now is well known to general public.

Even when women are familiar with linen, they complain about how wrinkled it gets and how hard it is to iron. The remedy is simple, how-ever: the linen must be damp when ironed, and the iron must be extremely hot (not necessarily heavy nor a steam iron).

Linen's positive qualities, on the other hand, are unmatched. The parallel arrangement of its basic fibers produces a very sturdy cloth that will give twenty years of use.
